As far as principles of engagement go, it is debatable whether Facebook applications still hold the same pull that they had when Facebook hit the scene. Then poking wasn’t just a funny app but a phenomenon that almost defined the website and its image to many. And as brands continue to explore and get their feet wet with applications, they’re sure to engage a lot of Facebook developer hands to get what they want.
